Fix the Budget, Fix America

The budget proposal before Congress spends $3.8 trillion of our money. But it doesn't reflect our priorities, or even common sense.

The Pentagon and conservatives want to spend $13 billion more on weapons but freeze spending on everything else - including schools, job creation and clean energy.

Last year, TrueMajority members helped bring commonsense priorities to our budget  when we won a huge fight to end wasteful Pentagon projects like the F-22 fighter jet. Now, we've got a chance to save $2.5 billion by ending another plane we don't need - the C-17.

Send a message for sensible budget priorities by signing this petition for a sensible budget.

Dear Congress,

The 2011 budget proposal you have just received spends too much on the military and not enough on domestic priorities. But you can help bring balance to the budget by eliminating wasteful weapons like the C-17 military transport plane. This change has already been requested by our military leaders, and we need you to follow through in the final budget.

Please vote to honor the DOD's request to stop spending money on the C-17 and other weapons we don't need, so we can invest that money here at home.
