Millions of Americans are out of work at the same time that our local governments are struggling to provide basic services. Crumbling roads, failing schools, un-policed streets and record unemployment are the result. President Roosevelt solved this problem during the great depression by creating the Works Progress Administration to America back to work and build our infrastructure. Now the Local Jobs for America Act has been introduced to accomplish the same goal. I urge all my elected officials to STRONGLY support this bill, and my Members of Congress to become cosponsors of this important legislation to invest public money in infrastructure projects that put our neighbors back to work.
