An astounding 120,000 "private security contractors" are currently working in Iraq. And a couple of weeks ago, when Blackwater mercenaries decided to open fire on innocent Iraqi civilians, we learned that these contractors are above the law.
Just yesterday the House overwhelming passed a bill that would make it clear that U.S. law applies to all armed contractors hired for overseas missions.
